Tried self-hynosis for insomnia and failed. Anyone with experience of hypnosis who can help?

Author: I had a friend read a pretty standard induction and deepener script from a self-hypnosis book.
I then used this insomnia script:

Any advice on how to make hypnosis work better?
To start with all hypnosis is self hypnosis…. the fact that you failed means that you failed nothing more. the next time it may be fantastic.
Try a couple of tapes/cds etc. for something you wish to do. in all probability they will work. make sure you have good stereo ear phones and a quiet safe place once you achieve trance state you are on the way. Using the format that that the recorded stuff used do your own script and have fun.
If you need more help write!! do not try anything weird ,screwy or that pushes any of your personal buttons

Hypnosis has been around for centuries & is very affective for all manner of issues.
Self hypnosis techniques can be learnt quite easily, pop into my group & ask, visit Amazon – they have good selection of books.
Hypnosis is a natural state, so it is not something that your subconscious mind will find alien.
Visiting a hypnothrapist would probably be more beneficial, either for instruction or for formal hypnosis.
As you have anger issues at present, you may benefit from learning how to simply relax the body in the first instance.

What is the difference between mind control and hypnosis?

Mind control is when you have no choice and do not realize it is happening, usually involves drugs.
Hypnosis is a state of mind and in which you are extremely aware of what is going on.
