mind control yoga / self hypnosis / mental training?

Author: Does anyone know of any systems – perhaps yoga? Where you can learn to control your body with your mind. Like speeding up or slowing down pulse rates, creating analgesia, creating body warmth or coolness?
Hmm. With self-hypnosis it’s an easier proposition, but still takes dedication and effort to achieve. People can undergo surgery whilst self-hypnotised.
It’s currently what I’m developing in myself, but I would love to find other sources of information, other approaches etc.
Almost everything is a trance state anyhow. Most of our waking time is spent in some kind of trance. Yoga is a trance state. Self hypnosis is I think the way to go.

I’ve got a test soon and I was wondering if I made an mp3 of myself reading my revision notes would this help me? I was watching friends when Chandler uses that stop smoking tape by listening to it in his sleep, would this help me? Im bad at remembering things

And have the results last after he has lifted the hynosis? Is that the same thing as like getting hypnotized to lose weight?
Hi lit,
No one can make you think or act in a way that goes against your beliefs or knowledge about yourself. For instance, you can never be hypnotized to kill someone, let alone cluck like a chicken.
However, it would be nice for some of us if it were true…
P.S. Mars, I don’t think it takes 14 years to get a degree in psychology.
