I’m a big fan of DB, but the acting of the person at 8:12 is horrible!! She is obviously a fake wired with a headset. Notice that the first lady has to say when she wants the second lady to stop, and that the second lady is a bit slow stopping.
And Petergalaxy is totally right about about the lady forced to stop at the spot.

The place were the women stops is the place were they were talking (4:08), Darren Brown made her press her hand against his hand on that spot (4:13). With a subliminal message he made her sub conscience get the following message:
“You can’t pass this check point!”
That’s probably why she stops exactly there.
That’s how I think it’s done.

that is freaking cool. But can we all do that or is it just because derren is there that that woman was able to make people stop??
the further away …
the further away from the mind the body part is the less we realise what its doing. no matter how hard u try eventually the mind will show whats on it in many ways, that be thru pins n needls on back of neck( resulting in a neck scratch) sweat buildup ect ect.. but in the case of this video that lady showed tooo much emotion and indirectly signalled thru eyes, twitches and her smile and its uneven appearance in relation to him making a comment on a paticular hand, she made it obvious and easy.

The hand closing is showmanship – he has already cued her to stop with the “stopping days” induction. The second lady in the street is a plant – that stripey cap is almost shouting out “Pick me! Pick me!” Derren then cues the lady next to him to go “3-2-1-stop” at just the right moment.
I’m learning NLP …
I’m learning NLP and hypnosis (etc.) at the META Institute in Minneapolis, MN. Let me simply tell you that NONE of this is fake. We’re learning it for Therapeutic Coaching, but Derren’s applying it here as a form of entertainment. No, you won’t learn to do it as ‘entertainment’ at META, and Yes, it’s all quite fascinating.
